IHEEM Fellow Joins SHJ

SHJ Hospital Pipelines Ltd of Chesham, Buckinghamshire, is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Lees as General Manager.  Steve is a Chartered Engineer and is a Fellow of the Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management and other relevant professional bodies. Steve has spent his entire professional career within a hospital engineering environment.

He has held senior positions in the NHS and the independent health sector, operating both within the UK and overseas, as well as with a number of leading FM organisations.  His particular focus has been on the larger capital schemes, including many of the first and second generation PFI schemes.

In recent years, he has primarily operated at the interface between the Constructor and the FM Provider, focusing on durability, maintainability and whole-of-life costs.

In his earlier career, he was instrumental in the development of unique and award-winning public/private sector partnering arrangements that have helped shape current industry practice.
