There are seven elements to the 'design' of medical gas pipeline systems:

- Survey: An in-depth understanding and charting of the current state of play
- Option Analysis: Armed with a detailed understanding of what currently exists we can prepare and evaluate alternative options to achieve the same end objective.
- Design Development: Develop the design and specification based on the chosen option(s)
- Co-ordination: Integration of the design with main contractor and/or sub-contractor detail
- Variations: Management of agreed variations during the design and/or construction phase
- Record Drawings: Complete documentation of the true as-installed situation
- Post-Construction Evaluation: Assessment of the system in use by comparison with the original design objectives
All design work is in accordance with HTM 02-01, BS EN ISO 9001:2008, Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000 and all relevant British Standards, Codes of Practice and recognised industry standards
