23 Sep Rain, Wind & Three Peaks: Team SHJ Takes on Yorkshire!
24 miles. Three peaks. Over 1,500 metres of climbing. And enough rain to put even the most determined hikers to the test!
On 12th September, Team SHJ swapped plant rooms and pipework for walking boots and waterproofs as they took on the mighty Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge, raising more than £1,500 for Diabetes UK.
Led by Roger Hardwick, the team set out to conquer Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in one gruelling circular route.
And Yorkshire certainly gave them the full experience!

High winds and relentless rain followed the team throughout the challenge, turning an already tough 24-mile trek into a serious test of determination. But soggy socks, aching legs and some fairly wild weather weren’t enough to stop Team SHJ.
They powered on, conquered the peaks and, most importantly, raised over £1,500 for Diabetes UK.
It was a brilliant team effort for a fantastic cause, and we’re incredibly proud of everyone who took part, as well as everyone who donated and supported them along the way.
