Temporary Medical Air Plant Containers for Rapid Emergency Deployment

Temporary Medical Air Plant Containers for Rapid Emergency Deployment

Discussed on Friday – Installed on Monday!

SHJ was approached by a major acute hospital after a critical fault developed within its surgical and medical air plant, creating a serious risk of complete plant failure. Any loss of medical air would have had a devastating impact on the hospital’s surgical and clinical operations.

SHJ responded immediately by deploying a fully functional medical air plant housed within a purpose-built, containerised unit manufactured by SHJ and designed specifically for rapid emergency deployment. SHJ’s installation team attended site without delay to complete the required pipework and electrical connections, supported on site by the hospital’s Estates Team and the electrical team from Neptune Building Services.

The temporary plant was installed, fully quality-checked, and brought online seamlessly, ensuring a continuous medical air supply with zero disruption to clinical services. This project is another strong example of SHJ’s Service, Manufacturing, and Installation teams working collaboratively to deliver excellent outcomes for our clients.

“We are exceptionally grateful to SHJ for their swift and effective response. From an initial phone call on Friday, a fully working solution was in place by Monday! The engineers were extremely professional and helpful throughout, and the truly personalised service SHJ provides inspires real trust and respect from all of us at the Trust.”
Iona Lennon – Capital Project Manager, Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
