Placement Year in the Engineering Industry

We are looking for a student with a mechanical engineering background, who would like to gain hands-on experience in the engineering industry. During the 12-month placement, you will work directly with our Plant Development team and get involved in plant design and manufacturing. You will also learn about SHJ’s energy saving technologies and partnerships with NHS Trusts. Software Engineer

We are seeking a Software Engineer to assist our R&D team in the development of our products. The role requires someone who can work with our designers to consolidate disparate program functions into a unified whole, map out programming tasks and smaller functions, which will then be combined into larger functioning programs, or new features for existing software, and work in the design and development stages of software creation. Hardware Engineer

We are seeking a Hardware Engineer to design, prototype, scale and roll out IoT and intelligent solutions to control medical gas plant and components. The role will also support current research and development on building modern SCADA IoT networks coupled with emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain. Service Engineer

We are seeking a Service Engineer with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in service engineering. The successful applicant will be involved in preventative and reactive maintenance, playing a key role in service delivery and improvements. We are seeking an Installation Engineer to assist us with our MGPS (Medical Gas Pipeline Systems) planning, installation and testing service.
